How could I protect him from [insert all imaginable worst-case-scenarios in any parent’s mind here]? More importantly, have I properly prepared him for being on his own?

…life has been a detour to right now. The journey has had it’s ups and downs, and at times it was downright tragic… But overall it’s been an incredible journey because it brought me to right now.
